ALBAWABA- The Lebanese Army has accused Israel of repeatedly violating a ceasefire agreement that went into effect on the morning of November 27, 2024.

The ceasefire was brokered to halt hostilities along the Israeli-Lebanese border following weeks of escalating tensions and cross-border attacks.

In a statement released Thursday evening, the Lebanese Army stated: "On November 27 and 28, following the announcement of the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli enemy breached the agreement multiple times."

The reported violations included aerial incursions and strikes on Lebanese territory using various weapons.

The army assured that its leadership is actively monitoring the situation and coordinating with relevant authorities to address the breaches.

However, no additional details were provided about the extent of damage or casualties resulting from the incidents.

This development casts doubt on the truce's sustainability, which was seen as a significant step toward de-escalating the recent border conflict in the Middle East.
