Gunmen clashed with Saudi police Friday in a town northeast of Riyadh, killing one officer and injuring three, Al-Arabiya television reported.
The station quoted eyewitnesses as saying one of the injured was in critical condition from the clashes in al-Baradah, some 80 kilometers northeast of the capital.
Friday's news came a day after the surrender of a wanted suspect, identified by Saudi authorities as Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-Moqrin. He is believed to be linked to Abdul Aziz al-Moqrin, who was al-Qaeda's chief in Saudi Arabia and who was killed in June. (albawaba.com)
