Yemeni security forces opened fire  on demonstrators gathering for a planned rally in Sanaa on Sunday, killing at least four people and wounding  37 others, CNN reported. Sunday’s violence comes a day after at least 10 people died  and 38 others injured in clashes in the capital.

Last week, tens of thousands of protesters gathered in Sanaa, calling for the United Nations to introduce  a resolution in support for change in the country.

Eyewitnesses and residents reported heavy clashes Saturday in Sanaa between Yemeni  security forces and fighters from the Hashid tribe, led by Sadiq Al-Ahmar. A few months ago Al-Ahmar urged President Saleh to step down after the shooting of dozens of protesters in March.
