A U.S. military helicopter was forced to land near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Saturday as clashes took place between U.S.-led occupation forces and resistance fighters, a U.S. military spokesman stated.
According to Reuters, the spokesman said the two crew members aboard the UH-58 were wounded.
In fierce firefights between U.S.-led occupation troops and Iraqi fighters near Mosul, at least eight people killed and injured scores, witnesses and hospital officials said. (albawaba.com)
