Land Rover’s all-new LR3 vehicle - the most technologically advanced Land Rover that the world-renowned, dedicated 4x4 company has ever built - has arrived in the UAE this month.

Commenting on the arrival of the new LR3, Dr. Andrew Humberstone, General Manager, Al Tayer Motors said: “The LR3 is a new generation Land Rover that re-defines limits and breaks new ground in the luxury 4x4 sector.  Having endured the toughest testing programmes of any consumer vehicle to date, the LR3 has been put through its paces over 6,400,000 kilometres and across five continents.  The end result is a vehicle that sets new benchmarks in design and functionality.”

With 32 international awards to its credit before the vehicle had even been launched, the new LR3 is a technology-packed premium SUV that offers comfort, flexibility and exceptional space in a luxurious seven-seat cabin, and the best driving experience both on- and off-road.

With its design derived for purpose, specific features include excellent visibility from the renowned Land Rover Command driving position and elevated ‘stadium seating’ in the rear, increased flexibility and easy access from wide doors, asymmetric two-piece tailgate, and generous space and comfort allowing seven adults to sit comfortably.

The exterior design has clean geometric lines that are minimalist, modern and similar to the flagship Range Rover model.  It is also distinctly Land Rover, and couldn’t be confused with any other vehicle.

The LR3’s outstanding on-road and off-road dynamics have been achieved through a number of technological innovations that make their production debut with the launch of this vehicle.  The vehicle offers the widest breadth of capability with dynamic on-road performance combined with class leading off-road capabilities.

Land Rover’s patented Terrain Response system is activated with the flick of a switch to maximise traction and optimise driveability and comfort.  The driver simply chooses one of five terrain settings on the centre console:  a general driving programme, one for slippery conditions (grass/gravel/snow) and three special off-road modes (mud/ruts, sand, rock crawl).  Terrain Response then automatically selects the appropriate settings for the vehicle’s advanced electronic controls and traction aids.

The Integrated Body-frame structure has allowed Land Rover to deliver all the comfort, refinement and on-road attributes of a monocoque, while continuing to set new standards in off-road performance.
