For the third year running NIVEA supported the Lakes Swim Club Gala which took place on Wednesday 31st May 2006. There was a strong turn out on the day, with children participating in the Gala aged between 6-12 years. NIVEA gifts and prizes were donated for the top 3 lucky winners of the 58 races.
The Lakes Swim Club is based at The Lakes Club, Emirates Hills and currently has approximately 450 members. There are 6 instructors, teaching various levels of swimmers from beginners of age 3 years to squad swimmers of 16 years of age.
Moira Churchill and Roy Perreira focus on teaching Learn-to-Swim, with Janice Capps, Natasha Leask-Walley, Carrie Eldridge, Jill Trevethan and Roy teaching ages 6 (level 3 swimmers) up to 16 years (squad level).
Robert Taylor-Hughes, General Manager, from NIVEA Middle East commented “Our support of the Lakes Swim Club Gala is a great way to educate young families within the region on the importance of sun care and protection. Research proves that it is vital to provide children with maximum sun protection from the early years to combat premature ageing and skin problems in later life. This of course is even more relevant for those of us living in the Middle East region”.
NIVEA, the world’s leading personal skin care provider, has a complete range of Skin Care, Face Care, Deodorants, Sun Care, Hair and Bath Care products along with trendy make up from NIVEA BEAUTE, all available in the UAE and the region.
