In a landmark move, Kuwait on Sunday appointed two women to local council. This came with the Kuwaiti cabinet approval of appointment of six members for the municipal council, including two women. According to <i>KUNA</I>, this is the first time in Kuwait's history that women are entitled to fill these posts.
