The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development has approved lending Syria 20 million dinars ($65.3 million) to expand a power plant near the capital Damascus, Kuwait’s official news agency (Kuna) reported Wednesday. According to the agency, the loan will pay for part of the costs to expand Al Nasiriya power plant with gas turbines, boilers and steam turbines that are expected to boost the plant's output from 300 megawatts to 600 megawatts – Albawaba.com
