Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain)—an industry leader in Islamic commercial and investment banking—today announced their support, as silver sponsor, of one of the most internationally significant forums, due to convene in the Kingdom of Bahrain on November 19 - 21, 2007, the Middle East : Homeland and Global Security Forum (HGSF).

The Forum, which will analyze regional and international security trends, is being held under the patronage of H.H. Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and is expected to draw approximately 500 decision-makers and security experts, representing more than 80 countries, including Ministers, Government Consultants, Parliamentarians, Human Rights Activists, CEOs and Board Members from leading international companies, Scholars and Academics, and other Experts.

Forum participants will collaboratively: (1) formulate forecasts with regards to the security challenges and characteristics unique to the Middle East Region; (2) expose new challenges and identify solutions; and (3) present new products, services, solutions, and initiatives in the field.
 
Speaking on behalf of Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior, which is hosting the event in collaboration with Crans Montana Forum, Major General Dr. Abdullateef bin Rashid Al Zayani, Chief of Public Security, thanked KFH-Bahrain for their cooperation, noting that, " One of the Forum’s key topics for discussion is ‘How to protect the international financial and banking circuits from terrorist penetration’. Upon announcing the Forum’s central issues, Kuwait Finance House immediately took the initiative to approach us and pledged their support for the Forum.”

In response, Mr. Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, General Manager of Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain, explained that, “Money laundering and terrorist financing is clearly a challenge we have increasingly had to come to terms with—particularly within the Islamic finance and investment sector.
