The Kuwait-based Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development has granted Sudan a 82-million-dollar loan, reported the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Wednesday.

The loan, repayable over 25 years with three percent interest, will help finance the construction of a road between Khartoum and the country’s main harbor, Port Sudan.

The Kuwaiti Arab Fund, established in 1974, has so far lent more than 550 million dollars to Sudan to finance development projects, said KUNA -- Albawaba.com
