Fifteen people infiltrated into northern Israel on Sunday, reported The Jerusalem Post newspaper.
The paper said that the infiltrators were Lebanese, but a military spokesman told AFP that they were members of a Kurdish family who had lived both in Syria and Lebanon in recent years.
Israeli soldiers detected the group when they cut the border fence in the Kfar Rajar area, said the Post, adding that they claim they are seeking political asylum from Israeli authorities -- Albawaba.com
