ALBAWABA- King Abdullah II of Jordan met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris to discuss the ongoing crisis in Gaza and potential escalation in the Lebanese-occupied Palestinian territories. 

The meeting highlighted the continued Israeli aggression on Gaza over the past nine months and the possibility of a broader conflict involving Israel and resistance groups from Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Palestine.

France maintains a military presence in Jordan and is actively working to de-escalate tensions between Hezbollah and Israel, amid fears of a comprehensive war in the Middle East. 

King Abdullah's visit to Paris marks his second trip to France in the last six months, following Macron's visit to Jordan in December 2023.

Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah accompanied the King on this visit, which included both a working and a private component, as reported by the Jordanian News Agency, Petra.
