Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African States, Mohammad Sadr, arrived in Damascus Monday to submit a message from President Mohammed Khatami inviting Syrian President Bashar Assad to visit Tehran, reported the Iran News Agency (IRNA).
During his two-day visit, Sadr will review the latest regional developments, particularly the critical situation in Palestine with Syrian Foreign Minister Farouq Shara, said IRNA.
The Iranian official is also scheduled to meet Palestinian opposition leaders, added the agency - Albawaba.com
