ALBAWABA - Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has recently settled the controversy revolving around the country's nuclear program amid continued talks between Tehran and Washington to reach a deal about the uranium enrichment.
Iran's supreme leader refused Washington's interventions and said on Wednesday that the US "cannot have a say" on Tehran's uranium enrichment in its nuclear program.
"Why are you interfering in whether Iran should have enrichment or not? You cannot have a say," Khamenei said via state television.
He further mentioned that Tehran is not waiting for a green light from Trump's administration to make decisions.
The supreme leader also said, "Independence means not waiting for the green light from America and the likes of America." He added that the proposal was "100 percent against" the ideals of Iran and the Islamic revolution.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's statements were during the commemoration ceremony for the 36th anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, that was held in Imam Khomeini Mausoleum near Tehran.
