Libyan President Moammer Kadhafi and former South African president and Nobel peace prize-winner Nelson Mandela spoke by phone Saturday on the possible United States military strike on Iraq, official Libyan sources said.
The conversation discussed means "to protect the Iraqi people" from any aggression, one source said.
Kadhafi, for his part, has come out strongly against any US plan to attack Iraq, AFP said. On his part, Mandela warned Washington Thursday against any unilateral action on the global stage. (Albawaba.com)
