The official website of Jordan's treasury was sabotaged on Monday by Israeli computer hackers who placed an image of a black hand inscribed with the lyrics of Israel's national anthem on its homepage.
The hacker group, who identified itself as the "Blue and White Team", is believed have responded to a wave of sabotage against more than 200 Israeli websites by a Moroccan group who identify themselves as "Team Evil", according to Haaretz.
Another group who identified themselves as Turkish has been thought to be responsible for the sabotage of at least 17 Israeli websites, most recently placing a cartoon of US President George Bush whose head had been replaced by the of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.
This sort of hacking is apparently not held with high regard as other types are by hackers, since it requires pre-prepared software and attacks sites with minimal security.
