Jordan's King Abdullah II has agreed to visit Libya next month and spoke by telephone Thursday with Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi, an official Jordanian source said.

The monarch will travel to Libya on September 1st to congratulate Kadhafi on the 31st anniversary of his rise to power, the official said.

The king paid a similar visit to Libya last September.

In their phone conversation, Abdullah and Kadhafi talked about "areas of cooperation between Jordan and Libya," the official said.
