A 22-year-old Jordanian soldier convicted of killing two comrades at a military camp in Zarqa, east of Amman, was hanged on Monday, according to official sources.

The execution of Corporal Suleiman Salameh was the third to be carried out this month, they told the Jordan Times.

Salameh made no last requests, said one official who attended the hanging at Swaqa Prison.

According to the source, Salameh was sentenced to death by a military court after being found guilty of shooting two of his fellow soldiers to death. The condemned said the crime, which was committed last year, was over personal and financial disputes.

Salameh was the second soldier to be hanged in the past two days for committing murder – Albawaba.com
