Reveals Names of this month’s raffle draw winners

As part of its ongoing aims to ensure that its visitors enjoy a memorable shopping experience at its outlets, the Jordanian Duty Free Corporation (JDF) recently launched  its   new King Hussein Bridge VIP store. The new store was inaugurated in the presence of Head of the Public Security Department of Jordan, Lieutenant General Mohammad Majid Al Eitan, Board Chairman of JDF, Mr. Farouq Hadidi, JDF’s General Manager, Mr. Haitham Al Majali and member’s of JDF’s management team.

The event was also attended by a representative from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and representatives of the media.

Commenting on the new launch Lieutenant General, Mohammad Majid Al Eitan said, “First and foremost I would like to congratulate JDF on this new launch. The new VIP store serves to solidify JDF’s image as a provider of unique shopping experiences and services for both Jordanian and foreign travelers. The new VIP store  will allow JDF to successfully provide for its travelers a relaxing environment that will add even more flavor to the travels they make using this boarder. We at the Public Securities Department are proud to see JDF take this pioneering step and we are confident that with its progressive team, JDF will be following up this development with many more to come. JDF’s stores are reflective of Jordan’s image especially since they are the first and last station that travelers cross when entering or leaving the country. We are sure that the services provided through this new outlet will serve to solidify JDF’s image”

Lieutenant General Al Eitan further added that he is proud of the high level of service found in all of JDF’s outlets and especially its King Hussein Bridge stores as such services are aligned with Jordan’s journey towards further economic development.

JDF’s General Manager, Mr. Al Majali further explained that JDF’s expansion plan was initiated by the launch of the VIP Lounge at the King Hussein Bridge. This decision was made precisely because the King Hussein Bridge is witnessing an ongoing increase in passenger traffic. “We thank Lieutenant General, Mohammad Majid Al Eitan for being with us on this occasion and we at JDF hope to be celebrating more positive developments in the future.”

Aligned with its aims to provide shoppers with exhilarating shopping experiences, JDF also launched a promotional camping in July 2007, this campaign offers JDF shoppers the opportunity to win a sum of USD 10,000 in cash alongside many other prizes. Throughout the campaign’s duration, JDF’s shoppers receive 1 ticket for each USD 50 or equivalent they spend at any of the corporation’s outlets. These tickets are entered into a monthly raffle draw, held at a different JDF outlet each month.

Commenting on this campaign, Mr. Haitham Al Majali said, “I am proud to see the high level of participation that this campaign reaped so far. We at JDF launched this campaign as part of our strategy to commend and reward our clients’ loyalty, and to ensure that our services continually surpass the norm. Our long-term plan is to ensure that all our outlets provide for shoppers a friendly environment and in order for us to effectively achieve this goal, we strive to continue to renovate our outlets periodically.”

It is important to note that the King Hussein Bridge Duty free shops were first established in January 1998 with 2 Duty Free shops serving arriving and departing travelers.
