President of the Jordanian Red Crescent Society, Mohamad Mutliq Al Hadid said that invitations have been extended to 50 states to attend a meeting in Amman to discuss traffic accidents and the importance of curbing them.
"The participating countries, which have branches of red crescent and red cross societies, will launch a campaign from Amman to limit traffic accidents, and classify them as major disasters," he was quoted as saying by Petra news agency. Al Hadid noted that traffic accidents put huge economic burdens on world countries, stressing the importance of launching an extensive media campaign to spread awareness about traffic accidents and their negative
impact on societies.
