The Jordan cabinet is due to hold a meeting Sunday to discuss a number of decisions regarding the privatization of a number of state owned companies.

Ad-Dustour daily newspaper cited informed sources as saying that “among these projects intended for privatization is the free markets company at the airports. The government will sell shares of this company to the private sector for three million dinars at a ratio of 8 to 9 percent of the annual profits.”

The sources have indicated that Aqaba Rail Roads Company, which faced obstacles in privatization due to the withdrawal of investment companies which the Jordanian government negotiated with, will be among the sectors to be privatized -- Albawaba.com
