The president of the US-based Jewish National Fund (JNF), Ronald Lauder, arrived in Israel Tuesday to present a water development plan for Israel, reported Americahe Jerusalem Post Wednesday.
Lauder, who is also chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, is in Israel at the invitation of the chairmen of the Jewish National Fund-Israel, Yehiel Leket and Shlomo Gravetz.
In a special meeting of the board of directors that was held Tuesday in Jerusalem, Lauder presented the outlines of his water development plan for Israel. The plan calls for the building of reservoirs and for the storage of about 150 million cubic meters of runoff and sewage water, said the Israeli daily – Albawaba.com.
