A team of major Japanese water-related manufacturing companies is scheduled to visit the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf states this week in order to review co-operation and present the latest word in technology.
The delegation, comprised of 30 members, is due to arrive in the UAE Saturday for talks with officials on the issue of Japanese technology in water extraction and desalination. The Japanese team will also visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar.
"The mission aims also to offer a Japanese plan in solving problems faced in the UAE, study water-related projects and strengthen bilateral relations in the area of water resources," the Japanese embassy said in a statement, according to Gulf News.
It stated the mission is sponsored by the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East and the Water Re-use Promotion Center. The delegation includes representatives from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Hitachi Zosen Corporation, Toray Industries Inc, Toyobo Company Ltd, Kubota Corporation and other firms. (Albawaba.com)
