Japan pledged to extend all possible help to bring about peace in the Middle East following an Israel-Palestinian agreement Tuesday to end violence.
"We strongly hope that mutual trust between Israel and Palestine as partners in the peace process will be restored at an early date and peace negotiations will be resumed," Foreign Minister Yohei Kono said.
"Our country for its part is determined to extend every possible assistance to bring about peace through negotiations among parties concerned" Kono said in a statement,
