jafza celebrates "eid al adha" with a touch of heritage

The Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) celebrated Eid Al Adha on Monday, December 17, by organizing a number of events and activities for the freezone community and its visitors.

The celebrations went on for the whole of Monday at the tent set up near the Food Court. A number of activities were organized under the supervision of the HR Department - Jafza. Traditional Arab food and sweets were prepared and served at the tent, which attracted hundreds of guests.

The tent provided the right ambience to the event, creating an air of old-world Arab charm.

Henna designs added colour to the occasion and proved to be a big hit with women employees from various parts of the world and guests. Camel riding around the free zone premises provided a touch of adventure to the festivities.

The event attracted a large number of employees of Jafza and also from the companies based in the freezone.

Adel Bin Turkeya, Vice President – Human Resources & Corporate Services, Jafza, said “the celebrations were part of Jafza's reaching-out to its community and its guests. Eid Al Adha is a special occasion and Jafza was happy to be celebrating it with its cultural and traditional uniqueness.”

“Jafza is home to more than six thousand companies representing over 120 countries, employing people from all over the world. This made our Eid festivities special as we were bringing the whole world to be part of it.”

Jafza has been taking particular care to mark occasions similar to the Eid with their unique specialties. This presents an opportunity for Jafza to showcase the region's tradition and culture to an international audience inside the free zone.
