Itisaluna Commences the Second Phase of its Expansion
Itisaluna Abr Al Iraq, the latest National Wireless Fixed Voice and Data Telecommunications Company in Iraq, has recently announced the launching of the second phase of its expansion, which is set to be in the provinces of Alfurat Al Awsat and the Southern Provinces of Iraq.
Itisaluna will release an official announcement upon the commencement of its activities in these areas.
This expansion comes after the successful implementation of Itisaluna's first expansion phase, which entailed a launching of their services in the provinces of Baghdad and Basra earlier this year. Upon completion of this second phase, Itisaluna's state-of-the-art CDMA network would cover approximately 65% of Iraq.
"We are approaching the launch of our fixed wireless services in the provinces of Alfurat Al Awsat and Southern Provinces of Iraq," said Itisaluna's official spokesperson. "We are now applying the final technical touches to the network to ensure the high quality service we promised and delivered to our clients Baghdad and Basra."
"With this and the other steps in our expansion plan that will follow later this year, we will reach a 100% coverage of the entirety of Iraq, and we will achieve our first goal of spreading a culture of technology amongst all social groups," he added. "Itisaluna will become their helping hand in achieving an efficient, secure medium of communication on both a local and a regional scale."
Itisaluna provides fixed wireless voice and data services with mobility within a specific radius. The first service specializes in fixed voice calls but operates on a wireless CDMA network. Through this service, Itisaluna's subscribers will be able to make phone calls within and outside the network, in addition to making long-distance calls at competitive rates. This service also includes other benefits offered for the first time through fixed phone lines, such as short messages, call waiting and forwarding, caller ID, in addition to a number of other services.
Itisaluna's service also included a number of entertainment services, such as Funbox, which delivers to subscribers classical and Ghazal poetry, jokes, horoscopes and other interesting items. Other entertainment services include an auto answering feature (IVR) which offers contests and song dedications; a television short messaging service (SMS2TV) which offers users the opportunity to interact with various television channels and programs through SMS, in addition to many other services. For more information, users can access fully detailed at Itisaluna's website, www.itisaluna.com, or by visiting the nearest Itisaluna service center.
Additionally, Itisaluna offers a limited mobility service to all its subscribers, allowing them to move freely within a radius of 2 kilometers while still enjoying all the services provided by Itisaluna with the same quality and efficiency.
As for data, Itisaluna offers the Iraqi public the best possible internet services at world-class speeds. Itisaluna's internet services are based on two different systems to cater the different needs of its customers. The first package, called (1X) internet, offers speed up to 150Kbps, making it suitable for essential internet browsing, email, chatting and on-line games. The second bundle, geared towards high-end internet users amongst businesses and individuals, is called High Speed Internet (EVDO) with speed up to 3.1Mbps, allowing users to download large files, listen to music, and access on-line games in real-time.
It is worth noting that Itisaluna provides both post-paid and pre-paid subscription options to its customers. Post-paid subscribers pay for the service through the usual billing system, and prepaid subscribers are able to charge their accounts using prepaid cards, which Itisaluna provides with values of 5, 10, 20 and 30 US dollars.
