Ninety Italian investment companies have channeled roughly 1.45 billion pounds worth of capital and 3.85 billion pounds worth of investment into Egypt.

Egyptian-Italian cooperation spans the fields of health, financial resources management, environmental protection, small and medium business enhancement, and technological applications.

Italy has provided Egypt with $17 million in donations and $95 million in soft loans over the past two years. The Egyptian Ministry of International Cooperation defines, in collaboration with the concerned agencies, how this aid should be used and for which projects.

In addition, Italy’s National Professionals Union has decided to establish a regional office in Cairo in coordination with the Egyptian Production Collaboration Union.

The office will try to develop cooperation in small and medium business in particular – Albawaba.com
