Italy’s Minister for Foreign Trade on Tuesday said there was a possibility to sign the Syrian accord of Association with the European Union soon.
In an interview with the Syrian daily al-Baath, Italy’s Minister for Foreign Trade and Deputy Minister for Italian Productive Activities Adolfo Urso said : "There is the possibility to conclude the accord of Partnership between Syria and the EU very soon, and Italy is playing an important role in this regard."
He expressed his conviction that such a move would serve the joint interest of Syria and the EU, as it would contribute to develop Syria and the whole Mediterranean.
