Istanbul grapples with flooding amid unprecedented rainfall

ALBAWABA- The Turkish city of Istanbul grappled with devastating floods on Tuesday, prompted by an exceptional deluge of rain. 

Social media shared videos revealing stranded individuals on inundated streets. Metro stations in Başakşehir and Kayasehir, along with a national library, were submerged in rainwater. 

The floods primarily impacted the western areas of Istanbul, particularly Başakşehir, Kayasehir, and Arnavutköy. 

Authorities have cautioned against motorcycle usage due to the heavy rainfall, with 1550 reports of flooding received so far, fortunately resulting in no injuries.
