ALBAWABA - An Iranian ballistic missile directly hit Soroka hospital in Beer Sheba on Thursday morning, local Israeli media said.

Sirens sounded across Israel following a barrage of ballistic missiles that were launched from Iran on Thursday morning.

The hospital spokesperson revealed that the building has been damaged. Videos were shared on social media showing glass and debris while doctors, medical staff and citizens.

Rescue teams are working to help people stuck in an elevator at the hospital, the Israel Fire and Rescue Service mentioned.

Israel's deputy foreign minister, Sharren Haskel, denounced the attack on the hospital, calling it "deliberate" and "criminal".

"Iran just hit Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva with a ballistic missile. Not a military base. A hospital. This is the main medical center for Israel's entire Negev region. Deliberate. Criminal. Civilian target. The world must speak out," Sharren Haskel posted on his X account.

The number of injured by Iranian missiles rises to 44, with 3 in serious condition, according to Israel’s National Emergency Service.
