ALBAWABA - Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed the assassination of Hamas spokesman Abu Obaida in Gaza.

Earlier today, Israel's Security Agency, known as Shin Bet, claimed that it has received final verification of the assassination of Hamas spokesman, Abu Obaida, in an attack on Gaza City, north of the Gaza Strip.

"In Israel's security establishment, the assessment is growing stronger that Abu Obeida has been eliminated. An official announcement is expected to be released soon," Israeli Army Radio revealed on Sunday.

According to the Army Radio, this is the third time since the beginning of the war that Israel has attempted to kill Abu Obaida, adding that "in the previous attempts he managed to escape, but this time it seems the operation succeeded."
