ALBAWABA - The UN peacekeeping force (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon said on Sunday that an Israeli tank fired on its troops near an Israeli position inside Lebanon.
UNIFIL stated that the Israeli attack on its soldiers constituted a serious violation of Resolution 1701, and urged the Israeli army to halt all actions targeting its forces.

Notably, this is not the first time Israeli forces attack the international peacekeeping forces (UNIFIL), as on October 27, UNIFIL reported that it had downed an Israeli drone that was flying aggressively over one of its patrols. It later stated that a second drone approached another patrol operating near Kfarkela and dropped a bomb.
UNIFIL also reported that on October 12, one of its soldiers was slightly injured when an Israeli drone dropped a bomb that exploded near one of its positions in Kfarkela.
