ALBAWABA - The Israeli police said that two people were hurt in a stabbing at a hotel in Jerusalem. Channel 12 says that the attacker was an Arab-Israeli from Shuafat.
Police said that they are still looking into the suspect's motive and that security forces quickly subdued him and sent in a lot of extra troops to keep the area safe.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority said that one of the victims is in critical condition and the other has moderate injuries. Emergency medical services also confirmed the two deaths, saying that one of them was very serious.
Channel 14 also said that the attacker was caught, but the police are still looking into what happened.
The situation of rising violence
This stabbing happened just days after a deadly shooting attack on Monday in northern occupied Jerusalem, where two Palestinian gunmen opened fire inside a bus station near the Ramot settlement.
Six Israelis died and 15 others were hurt, including a rabbi, in that attack. According to Israeli sources, at least six of the injured were in critical condition, while others had serious or moderate injuries.
The attacks are getting worse, which makes people in Jerusalem more worried about their safety. Israeli troops are on high alert after a string of stabbings and shootings.
