ALBAWABA- At least 79 Palestinians were killed and 163 others injured in Israeli military operations across the Gaza Strip within the past 24 hours, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
The Ministry reported that 60 people were killed in Israeli air raids since dawn alone, as strikes continued to target multiple areas.
One civilian was also confirmed dead and 48 others injured in chaotic scenes during a food distribution in southern Gaza on Tuesday.
The World Food Programme reiterated its warning that Gaza urgently requires a significant increase in food aid to avert further humanitarian catastrophe.
In Israel, far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich rejected any easing of military pressure, insisting, “We must continue to tighten the noose on Hamas and force a full surrender deal.”
He warned that easing restrictions would offer Hamas "oxygen and a lifeline." Smotrich also noted that Hamas feels the strain from military operations and a shift in how aid is distributed.
Meanwhile, Israeli Channel 12 reported that police attempted to disperse around 100 protesters staging a 600-minute sit-in at the Likud Party headquarters in Tel Aviv, demanding action on hostage negotiations.
Israel’s Foreign Minister responded, saying any prisoner release deal must align with national interests, not political pressure.
