Israeli strikes hit multiple locations in southern Lebanon; Hezbollah retaliates

The town of Kafr Kila in southern Lebanon was targeted in an Israeli raid, followed by airstrikes in the vicinity of the Hermel district in northeastern Lebanon and the Wadi Faara area in the eastern Bekaa.

ALBAWABA- Amid escalating tensions, Israel conducted several airstrikes and artillery shelling operations across southern Lebanon. 

The town of Kafr Kila in southern Lebanon was targeted in an Israeli raid, followed by airstrikes in the vicinity of the Hermel district in northeastern Lebanon and the Wadi Faara area in the eastern Bekaa.

 Israeli artillery shells also hit near the towns of Naqoura and Khiam in southern Lebanon. Reports from Israeli media indicated that sirens sounded in "Hanita" as five rockets were launched from Lebanon. 

Al-Mayadeen correspondent in the south reported direct fire from Lebanon towards the vicinity of the Israeli "Hanita" barracks, with rockets targeting an Israeli military site in the Western Galilee. 

The incidents mark a concerning escalation in hostilities between Israeli occupation forces and Hezbollah fighters across the Lebanese southern borders since October 8, 2023.
