ALBAWABA- In a shocking escalation of violence, over 100 Israeli settlers, many masked, stormed the Palestinian village of Jit near Qalqilya, according to Israeli Army Radio citing a security source.
The settlers set fire to four homes and six cars, leaving a trail of destruction. During the attack, Rashid Abdul Qader Sedda, a 23-year-old Palestinian, was shot and killed by the settlers.
The Israeli Army Radio confirmed that the settlers also attacked villagers with Molotov cocktails and stones, leading to further chaos.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that another Palestinian was critically injured by gunfire during the assault.
This incident is part of a broader surge in violence, with the Israeli army continuing operations in the West Bank.
An Israeli army spokesman claimed they have thwarted numerous "terrorist operations" and intend to persist.
Meanwhile, in Gaza, 33 Palestinians have been killed since dawn due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes, including seven casualties in a targeted attack on a residential apartment near Al-Tawbah Mosque in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.
