ALBAWABA- A loud explosion was heard in Damascus as reports confirmed an Israeli strike on a vehicle in the Mazzeh neighborhood.
Sputnik reported that the individual targeted in the Israeli strike on Damascus had just left a funeral for Yahya Sinwar, head of Hamas' political bureau.
The attack was reportedly carried out by a guided missile launched from an Israeli aircraft operating in Lebanese airspace.
This area has previously been targeted; earlier in October, Israeli raids hit several buildings allegedly linked to Iranian and Hezbollah figures.
On October 8, an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the Mazzeh suburb killed seven civilians, including women and children, and injured 11 others, according to Syrian state media.
The victims were later identified as a Yemeni academic and his family, with the attack causing significant damage to nearby properties.
