ALBAWABA - The Israeli army announced targeting two Syrian air bases, Tadmur and T-4 air bases on Tuesday morning.

In a post on the army's official X account, Israel said it hit the "remaining military capabilities" in the airfields located near the city of Palmyra in Homs. On the other hand, the Israeli army had earlier launched bombs on the same bases.

Earlier on Monday, the EU's top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, slammed the attacks carried out by Israel in Syria and Lebanon saying the country is risking "further escalation".

Kaja Kallas added that the Israeli attacks on Syria, which began following the collapse of the old regime in Syria led by ousted President Bashar Assad in December, were "unnecessary because Syria is right now not attacking Israel and that feeds more radicalisation that is also against Israel".

Last Friday, the Israeli army attacked Palmyra military airport in central Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) revealed.

The army also added that it is planning attacks on the remaining "strategic military capabilities that remained in the area of the Syrian bases of Palmyra and T4."
