Israeli forces detained six Palestinians from across the occupied West Bank overnight and early morning Wednesday.

The Palestinian Prisoner's Society identified two of the detainees from Qalqilya, Muhammad Jamal Nufal, 30, and Amir Khalil Daoud, 28.

The group also identified Anas Omar Abu Asal, 25, from Anabta and Tareq Salim al-Tanib, 28, from the Tulkarem district, as well as
Alaa Omar Zakarneh, 20, and Adel Ghassan Arqawi, 21, from Jenin.

An Israeli army spokeswoman told Ma'an four Palestinians were arrested in the West Bank overnight for illegal activity.

Israeli forces routinely conduct night raids of towns and villages throughout the West Bank. The Israeli army carries out an average of 75 raids a week on West Bank Palestinian neighborhoods and villages, according to Israeli news source Haaretz.

Palestinian residents are often detained during such raids. The total number of Palestinian prisoners detained by Israeli forces was 6,000 in February 2015, according to Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association.

Qalqilya, Tulkarem, and Jenin districts, like many areas that endure night raids, are classified under the Oslo Accords as Area A, according to which the Palestinian Authority has full civil and military authority and Israeli forces are not legally allowed to enter.

Wednesday's arrest occurred as Israeli police arrested five Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem the same day.
