ALBAWABA- In a coordinated cyberattack, Israel reportedly hacked communication devices used by Hezbollah members, causing them to explode in various regions of Lebanon, according to a Lebanese security source speaking to Al Jazeera.
The explosions, which occurred in the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Bekaa, and southern Lebanon, resulted in hundreds of injuries.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health has issued an urgent advisory, instructing citizens to dispose of any pager devices immediately, while hospitals have been asked to raise their emergency preparedness levels.
Video footage has surfaced, showing the moment Israel's remote hack triggered the devices to detonate.
Hezbollah has described this as Israel’s largest cyber hack against the group to date.
