ALBAWABA - Israeli authorities have arrested several individuals from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office as part of an investigation into a security breach suspected of compromising military operations in Gaza, Channel 13 reported.

The investigation, led by Shin Bet along with Israeli police and military forces, began several days ago, focusing on allegations of unauthorized sharing of classified information. Security officials suspect that sensitive information was leaked, negatively impacting Israel's military goals in the ongoing Gaza conflict.

In response to the investigation, Netanyahu’s office released a statement acknowledging that while numerous leaks on sensitive issues have occurred, none originated from the Prime Minister's Office. Netanyahu’s office added that he has called for the immediate lifting of a publication ban related to the leak investigation.

Meanwhile, Haaretz disclosed further details about a separate security incident involving Netanyahu. The report reveals that Netanyahu appointed a spokesperson, without security clearance, who attended high-level security meetings.

The spokesperson, whose identity has not been disclosed, is alleged to have leaked information, including fabrications about Yahya Sinwar, the former Hamas political bureau chief, to foreign media. Additionally, the spokesperson is accused of distributing critical and highly sensitive security documents.
