ALBAWABA- In a significant escalation, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Forces, was reportedly assassinated in an Israeli raid near Damascus, Syria.
Hajizadeh, who allegedly orchestrated the Iranian ballistic and cruise missile attack on Israel in April, was killed less than 24 hours after other notable figures were targeted.
On his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared, in a televised address, that Israel has delivered “crushing blows” to Iran’s agents, though he did not specifically mention Ismail Haniyeh.
Netanyahu confirmed that Israel killed Fuad Shukar, Hezbollah’s deputy leader, in Lebanon, noting that Shukar was responsible for attacks in the north.
He also stated that Israel controls the Philadelphia Axis and has paralyzed Hamas. Netanyahu emphasized that he has not and will not succumb to pressure to halt military operations, asserting that recent strikes have targeted Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis.
The Israeli forces also assassinated Fuad Shukar, Hezbollah's second-in-command, in a Beirut suburb, and Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas's Political Bureau, in Tehran.
These coordinated strikes on key leaders from Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas mark a dramatic escalation in regional tensions.
Earlier, The Israeli government has taken responsibility for these assassinations, significantly escalating tensions in the region and raising concerns about a potential all-out war, with apparent disregard for international treaties and decisions.
