ALBAWABA- Syrian air defenses engaged hostile targets in the vicinity of the capital Damascus, as confirmed by the Syrian News Agency. 

The Israeli aggression specifically targeted a building in the Mezzeh neighborhood of Damascus.

Prior to this, reports emerged of an explosion occurring at the Mezzeh Highway in central Damascus, although the nature of the explosion was unclear. 

Iranian media sources report that Israeli aggression has targeted a building adjacent to the Iranian embassy in Damascus. There are emerging reports of casualties as a result of the strikes.

Notably, Israel launched deadly cross-border strikes on Syria, killing over 38 civilians in Aleppo last Friday, March 29.

The attacks resulted in at least 38 fatalities, including Syrian soldiers, civilians, and five members of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah.

The targeted areas included a weapons depot near Aleppo International Airport and Syrian air defense facilities in Al-Saferah, about 20 km southeast of Aleppo city.
