ALBAWABA- In an unprecedented escalation, Israeli airstrikes have killed over 274 people and wounded 1,024 in Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Health Minister.
The strikes targeted hospitals, medical centers, and ambulances, significantly impacting civilian infrastructure.
Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz confirmed that the strikes are expanding across Hezbollah targets throughout Lebanon, with Channel 12 reporting that Israeli forces have attacked over 800 sites, particularly in the eastern Bekaa Valley, including Shamshtar, Hawsh al-Rafqa, Bodai, and the vicinity of Nabi Sheet.
In retaliation, Hezbollah launched long-range ballistic missiles at northern Israel for the first time, raising fears of an all-out regional conflict.
The situation in the Middle East grows increasingly volatile, with Israeli raids intensifying civilian casualties in both Gaza and Lebanon. UNIFIL, the UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, has expressed concerns about losing control of the situation, warning that the indiscriminate strikes are pushing the region toward a dangerous escalation.
This ongoing conflict has the potential to destabilize the entire region, as Israeli atrocities and military action continue to intensify in both Gaza and Lebanon.
