ALBAWABA- In a significant escalation of tensions, the Israeli army spokesperson confirmed multiple airstrikes targeting Hezbollah's airstrip and military installations deep within Lebanese territory. The strikes specifically targeted locations in Aita al-Shaab, Kafr Kila, and Maroun al-Ras.

Notably, sirens blared across Israeli towns in the Upper Galilee and the occupied southern Golan Heights, signaling imminent rocket attacks by Hezbollah.

Rockets were indeed launched from southern Lebanon towards Israeli positions in these areas, with explosions heard as far as Tiberias.

Earlier, an Al-Mayadeen correspondent in the south reported direct fire from Lebanon towards the vicinity of the Israeli "Hanita" barracks, with rockets targeting an Israeli military site in the Western Galilee.

 Israeli media reported sirens sounding in several settlements in the north, including "Yiftah," "Gdot," "Mishmar Herden," "Kfar Hanasi," "Tuba al-Zangriya," and "Eyalet Hashahar." 

The incidents mark a concerning escalation in hostilities between Israel and Lebanon.
