ALBAWABA- The Israeli army has confirmed today's airstrikes on Lebanon, targeting several Hezbollah sites in Jabal al-Bureij, Kafr Huna, Kafr Donin, Adshit, and al-Sawwanah. Military buildings, combat operations rooms, and infrastructure were among the targets, resulting in casualties.

Reports indicate that five Lebanese civilians were martyred, while two Hezbollah fighters were killed in the airstrikes.

This retaliation comes after Lebanese missile strikes on Safad, which resulted in the death of an Israeli soldier and injuries to seven others.

Israeli media reported the killing of Corporal Omer Sarah Benjo in the bombing of the Northern District Command headquarters in Safed.

The Israeli army suspects that heavy rockets were fired by Hezbollah fighters toward Safad, although the accuracy of the strikes remains unclear.

Today's deadly strike in Safed follows yesterday's direct strike in Kiryat Shmona and other incidents, underscoring the escalating tensions between Hezbollah and Israeli occupation forces.
