New US-UK airstrikes hit Hodeida, west of Yemen

ALBAWABA- Yemen’s Houthis media reports that American-British aggression targeted the Al-Jah area in the Bayt Al-Faqih District, south of Hodeidah, with two airstrikes. This comes amidst escalating tensions in Yemen.

In response to recent attacks, Reuters confirms that Star Bulk, a Greek shipping company, has halted crossing its vessels in the Red Sea. 

This decision follows a Houthi attack on a Star Bulk vessel bound for Israel just two days prior.

Meanwhile, the UN Security Council convened a closed meeting on Yemen. Special Envoy Hans Grundberg briefed council members on the latest developments in the region.

 During the meeting, the Chinese delegate expressed concern over the escalating situation in the Red Sea, warning of extreme danger.

 In contrast, the Deputy US delegate emphasized their defensive measures and reluctance to escalate the conflict, attributing recent attacks to Iranian weapons provided to the Houthis.
