ALBAWABA - The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday that the remains handed over to Israel belong to the last Thai hostage, and he is one of the two remaining hostages in Gaza, Hebrew media reported.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office revealed that the remains of the hostage that Hamas handed over on Wednesday belong to Thai agricultural worker Sudthisak Rinthalak.

Rinthalak, 42, was killed at Kibbutz Be’eri October attack.

On the other hand, Israel said earlier that the remains handed over by Palestinian militants on Tuesday did not match either of the last two hostages.

Who is the last remaining Israeli hostage in Gaza?

Ran Gvili, according to Hebrew media, is the last hostage that was taken by Hamas fighters during the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7, 2023.

Ran Gvili was an Israeli police officer. He is the last of the living and deceased hostages to be returned from the strip, following a ceasefire deal agreed between Israel and Hamas last October.
