ALBAWABA - Israel is on high alert amid the escalation between Iran and the United States, which resumed nine days ago after Iran's continuous attacks on ships that attempt to pass the Strait of Hormuz without permission.
The U.S. Army launched waves of attacks targeting Iran after attacks on ships, causing several deaths and injuries in Tehran.
In response, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) announced targeting American military bases and assets in the Gulf and Jordan.
On the other hand, Israel, a good ally of U.S. President Donald Trump, said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding a security meeting on Monday evening to discuss the latest escalation with Iran.
Israeli authorities are concerned that civilian flights could be canceled as U.S. refueling aircraft are using its regional airspace, while security arrangements for senior officials are being reassessed amid fears of possible assassinations.
Israeli officials said, "The Israel Defense Forces are on very high alert for every scenario. There will be no surprises."
