Following new restrictions on Gaza's fisherman, Israeli forces have fired at a group of Gazans who sailed out of the reduced three mile zone on Saturday, Maan News reported.
The fishing zone was reduced from six miles to three on Thursday, after a rocket hit southern Israel while U.S. President Barack Obama was visiting the region.
Under the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel in November, the zone was extended to eleven miles off shore. However, since the rocket attack, Israel has been trying to find ways of pressuring the Gazan government into a response.
"When missiles are fired by an unidentified source in Gaza, that leaves question marks about the launchers and their goals," Gaza-based political analyst Wisam Afifa told Maan.
Militant group, Majlis Shura al-Mujahedeen, claimed responsibility for Thursday's attack on the Israeli city of Sderot. The incident caused no casualties.
